Kanal D is preparing to bring to the screen a new and exciting series produced by Ayna Yapim.
Filmed in Midjat, Mardin, plot of the series Uzak Sehir | A Faraway Town tells the story of a grieving spouse who comes from Canada to bury her partner, only to be confronted with the secrets and harsh realities of the region.
Starring Ozan Akbaba and Sinem Unsal, the series Uzak Sehir is an adaptation of the famous Lebanese series Al Hayba.
In the series, Alya Albora (Unsal) comes to the Albora country of Mardin from Canada with the body of her deceased husband and their five-year-old son, fulfilling his last wish. However, there is no return or escape from Albor. Cihan Albora (Akbaba), the head of the Albora family, may not remain indifferent to Alya’s plight, but he refuses to let her leave with the child. As Alya confronts her dark past, hidden secrets and the realities of the region, she finds herself in a fierce battle with her husband’s family.

Uzak Sehir series will be aired on Mondays. The premiere is scheduled for November 11.
